Privacy policy
Last updated: [DATE]
This policy explains what [LEGAL BUSINESS NAME] ("Snoutwood Studios", "we") collects when you visit snoutwood.com or order an episode, how we use it, and when we delete it. The short version: we use your details and photos to make your episode, we don't sell them, and we delete your photos 90 days after delivery.
What we collect
- Order details: your name, email address, your dog's name, size and how to say it, and who the episode is for (for the gift card).
- Photos of your dog that you upload.
- Payment details: handled by Stripe. We see things like the amount, date and the last four digits of your card, never the full card number.
- Messages you send us by email.
- Website visits: our website host keeps basic technical logs (such as IP address and browser type) to keep the site running and secure.
- Advertising measurement (Meta Pixel): this website uses the Meta Pixel, a tool from Meta (the company behind Facebook and Instagram). It uses cookies and similar technology to tell Meta when you visit our pages, along with technical details such as your IP address and browser. This helps us see whether our Facebook and Instagram ads work and show them to people likely to be interested. Meta may link this to your Meta account if you have one. We don't send Meta your photos, your dog's details or your order form answers.
How we use it
- To make and deliver your episode and portrait.
- To redo an episode or give a refund under our guarantee.
- To answer your questions.
- To keep the business records the law requires (for example, for taxes).
We never use your episode, photos or dog's name in our marketing unless you opt in. We don't sell or rent your personal information.
AI and your photos
Our episodes are made with AI help. To draw your dog's character and make the episode, your photos and order details are processed by Google's AI services (Gemini) under paid business terms, which don't allow Google to use them to train its AI models. We don't use your photos to train AI models either.
Who else handles your information
We use a few trusted services to run the studio. Each sees only what it needs:
- Tally: our order form, where you enter your details and upload photos.
- Stripe: payments.
- Make: moves your order details from the form to our studio.
- Microsoft OneDrive: stores order files while we work on them.
- Google: our email (Google Workspace) and AI tools (Gemini).
- Cloudflare: hosts this website.
- Meta: measures our Facebook and Instagram ads through the Meta Pixel (see above).
- [VIDEO DELIVERY SERVICE]: hosts your finished episode so you can watch and download it.
How long we keep it
- Your photos: deleted 90 days after we deliver your episode.
- Your finished episode: kept for [HOW LONG] so you can download it again and so we can make another episode with the same dog.
- Order and payment records: kept as long as tax law requires.
You can ask us to delete your photos or episode sooner. Email us and we'll take care of it.
Your choices and rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, or withdraw an opt-in for marketing use, by emailing hello@snoutwood.com. Depending on where you live, you may have other privacy rights under your state's law; we'll honor them.
To limit advertising cookies, you can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and you can change how Meta uses your activity for ads in your Meta ad preferences.
Children
Our site and service are for adults. We don't knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
- Your LLC's legal name.
- Which service will deliver the finished videos (Google Drive, Vimeo, Bunny or another), and how long you keep finished episodes.
- That Gemini is used only on the paid plan (your operating plan says so), and whether any other AI service touches customer photos (for example, for the narrator's voice).
- The Meta Pixel is now on (2026-10-12) and described above. Ask your lawyer whether you also need a cookie notice or a "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" link. It depends on where your customers live and how big the business is.
